Webin order to turn it on or off you have to do it while holding the trigger. with one had, pull the trigger to turn the vacuum on, with your other hand press the "max" button on the back, the unit will switch back and forth. There is a blue ring lit up around the max button when max mode is on. The Boost mode is stuck and won't turn off.
